Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) is a composite material made of fibers, a polymer resin, and additives. FRPs are strong, durable, and lightweight, and are used in a variety of applications: 

• Construction: FRPs are used in civil infrastructure, including large, heavily loaded structures. 
• Transportation: FRPs are used in many components of transportation vehicles, such as roofs, liner panels, and handrails. 
• Industrial: FRPs are used in industrial applications, such as machine enclosures. 
• Modular offices: FRP panels are used in modular offices. 
• Guard shacks: FRP panels are used to create lightweight and secure walls for guard shacks and security booths. 

The type of fiber used in an FRP depends on the application. For example, carbon fiber is often used in recreational equipment and airplanes, while fiberglass is the most common reinforcement material because of its cost and properties. The process for making FRP involves two steps: creating the fibrous material and bonding it with a polymer plastic. To make FRP components lighter, vacuum infusion is used to increase the penetration of resin into the fiber cloth
